While NorthStar's integrated ESRI GIS is another innovation in public safety, its roots are still grounded in our original CAD designs which have always been based on advanced analytical routing techniques that provide communications centers with true decision support. After the call location is determined, NorthStar identifies the best resource(s) available to meet a particular circumstance and provides that information to the Dispatcher. Other vendors use tabular files that have difficulty addressing Phase II call requirements. The LogiSYS Point-In-Polygon approach provides a caller's location and graphically displays that information on the integrated map while allowing on-the-fly GIS updates with no CAD downtime.
